The Gypsy Lounge #2opens much where the last issue left off, with out reluctantprotagonist, Kerosene Gina, at the mercy of one of the mostvicious hired men around, John Crowbar. John is kinda ticked-offat Gina, 'cause she stole his assignment and then bungled intrying to finish the job. Kerosene Gina tries to talk her way outof his wrath, but John had dealt with her dad, and he's notreally into trusting or listening to anything that Gina mighthave to say. The two fight, but how can tiny Kerosene Gina haveany hope of defeating the evil John Crowbar?

If you're never seenThe Gypsy Lounge, you're in for a real treat. The comic isvisually unlike most other comics out there. The whole series isa combination of pencils and computer generated images woventogether in such a way that makes the whole just stand out frommost other independent comics out there. I also like the way thatJasen's lead character, Kerosene Gina, is not a stunning knockoutwearing a tight leather costume with bizarre breasts. Gina isjust an average looking girl, stuck in what she percieves to be adead-end life, who makes a mistake. It will be interesting, asthe issues progress, to see what is going to happen to her nowthat she's offended the resident town badass. I'm also curious tolearn more about the other characters in this world. Jasen'swriting is solid and he really has a firm grasp on hischaracters. His unique perspective and artistic style make TheGypsy Lounge a fantastic read each issue.
